Delete Your Penventory Account

Last Updated: October 19, 2026

This page explains how to delete your Penventory account, published by Krause Advising, and what happens to your data when you do. You can delete your account yourself in the Penventory app for iPhone and Android or on this website; no request to us is needed. Deletion cannot be undone.

1. In the app (iPhone or Android)

  1. Open the Account tab.
  2. Open Session & Account Management.
  3. Tap Delete Account & All Data and confirm.

2. On the website

  1. Sign in at thepenventory.com and open your Account page.
  2. Open the Security & Privacy tab and find the Delete Account section.
  3. Click Delete My Account & Vault Data and confirm.

3. If you can no longer sign in

Email support@thepenventory.com from the email address on your account and ask for the account to be deleted. We confirm the request with you by email before deleting, so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs.

4. What is deleted

Deletion removes from our live systems, at once: your pens, nibs, inks, collections and trays, inking records, wishlist, budget, comments, photos, public profile, purchase records, the blocks you made and the blocks against you, the reports you filed, and your account itself (username, email address, names, city and sign-in links to Apple or Google). If your account is linked to Apple, we ask Apple to revoke the token we hold for it.

Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play; deleting your account does not refund them.

5. What is kept, and for how long

  • Up to 90 days: the log of emails we sent you, with the recipient address, and the security log of sign-ins and account changes.
  • Until newer backups replace them: database backups that still contain your data. We keep a record of the deletion itself (your account number, the time and the file names of the deleted photos) so that the deletion can be repeated if a backup is ever restored.
  • Without your identity: reports that other people made about you, your comments or your items, so that moderators can still act on them. Your account number, item ids and public name are removed from them.
  • Without your name: ink formulas you added to the shared ink directory stay in the directory, since other collectors may be using them.

6. More

Section 5 of our Privacy Policy describes your data rights in full. Questions: support@thepenventory.com.
